From The Underground


After developing a number of rough ideas, I settled on a trailer for a sci-fi film called "From the Underground".

There is an incident at a construction site in London. Billions of flies come from the underground and engulf London. While locked away underground they mutated, and now they eat human flesh. The UK declares an emergency and tells citizens to seek shelter.

I made it as a short trailer so I could experiment with a wide range of shot types and locations without worrying about how they connect, as long as they seem like they could. I chose a trailer because I really enjoyed making my CG integration piece "The Midnight".

For this project I used Cinema4D (C4D), Octane and NukeX.

I was responsible for all VFX and filming aspects of this piece.
